Miles & Memories Reimagined: From 12×12 Layout to 6×6 Mini Album ✈️📖

At Ready Set Create 2025, I had the pleasure of taking Layle Koncar’s (@laylekoncar) Miles & Memories 12×12 layout class—and while the original design was stunning, I couldn’t resist putting my own mini album spin on it! I’m definitely more of a folio girl, so I decided to scale things down and create a 6×6 Mini Album that’s perfect for documenting travel adventures in a compact, interactive format.

Products That Made It Happen

To bring this project to life, I used the following supplies:

• Layle By Mail Miles & Memories Paper Collection
  • Passports Word Strip Stickers
  • Die Cut Words & Die Cut Icons
• Simple Stories Textured Cardstock in Bubble Gum and White
• Bearly Arts Glue (my go-to for precision and hold!)

I also found incredible inspiration from @paperpixieink’s Easy DIY 6×6 Scrapbook Folio Tutorial on YouTube. Her video helped me visualize how to adapt the 12×12 layout into a folio format, and it was the perfect guide to get started.

The Creative Process

This project was simple, fun, and full of possibilities. I was able to recreate three full 12×12 layouts, scaled down to fit the 6×6 format—plus I had plenty of paper left over for additional pages and embellishments. The folio structure makes it easy to flip through, add photos, and tuck in travel mementos.

I’m so excited to fill this mini album with snapshots from my next adventure. It’s compact enough to take on the go, and the Miles & Memories collection adds just the right touch of wanderlust and playful charm.
