At Ready Set Create 2025, I had the joy of taking Brianna Lepper’s (@briannaestrella1) class, A Moment to Remember, featuring the beautifully whimsical 49 and Market – Botanical Buzz collection. With its charming bees, honey pots, and florals, this collection was buzzing with inspiration from the start!
Originally designed as a 12×12 layout class, I knew I wanted to give it a personal twist. While I’ve previously adapted layouts into 6×6 mini albums, this time I decided to scale things up a bit and create a 6×8 mini album—a size that gives just a little more room to add pictures while still feeling intimate and interactive.
Why 6×8?
The 6×8 format gave me the perfect canvas to stretch out the design elements from the original class and use up some of the left-over 6×8 patterned paper. I was able to incorporate:
- Layered chipboard and dimensional elements
- Interactive flaps and pockets
- Room for journaling and photo spots including 4×6 photos
- Surprise details on every page
I used the same foundational structure inspired by @paperpixieink’s folio tutorial, but adjusted the measurements and layout flow to suit the 6×8 format. The result? A mini album that feels like a storybook—each page revealing a new layer of creativity and charm.
Out of My Comfort Zone—and Loving It!
This project nudged me beyond my usual clean-and-simple style. I embraced texture, layering, and movement, and it was such a refreshing creative stretch. The Botanical Buzz collection truly shines in this format, with its vibrant colors and detailed embellishments bringing every page to life.
