A (Nearly) 15‑Minute Card Filled With Heart and Meaning

Some cards take hours… and some come together in a burst of inspiration that feels almost effortless. This project was definitely the second kind — a 15‑minute card that technically took 16 thanks to one tiny oops, but I’m still counting it as a win!
Supplies Used
- Art Impressions Bible Journaling Series 3 – 6150 His Love Set (@artimpressions)
- Tombow Watercolor Markers for soft, expressive coloring
- Catherine Pooler Ink (@catherinepooler) for distressing the edges
- Lisa Horton Solid Gold Cloud 9 Metallic Ink for the glowing inner heart
- Basic cardstock + blending tools
The Process
I started by stamping the beautiful imagery from the His Love set — it’s such a peaceful, uplifting design that practically colors itself. Using Tombow Watercolor Markers, I added soft washes of color, letting the brush tips do most of the work.
To frame the panel, I gently distressed the edges with Catherine Pooler ink, giving the card a warm, sunset‑like glow. The inner heart needed something special, so I reached for Lisa Horton’s Solid Gold Cloud 9 Metallic Ink. It added the perfect shimmer without overpowering the design.
And just like that — minus one tiny fix‑it moment — the card was done in almost exactly 15 minutes.
Why I Love This Card
It’s simple, meaningful, and proof that creativity doesn’t have to be complicated. Sometimes the most heartfelt projects come together in the quickest moments.
