This week’s Craft Roulette challenge (#303) was an absolute blast — and a little bit caffeinated. With @marygunnfun and Amanda from @pearblossompress hosting, the parameters pushed me into a fun, quirky direction that turned into one of my favorite interactive cards yet.

🎨 The Challenge Parameters

  • Project: Interactive Card
  • Colors: Spice Cabinet
  • Element: Transportation
  • Random: Confetti

Right away, I knew I wanted to lean into something playful, colorful, and just a little chaotic — in the best way.

👽 The Main Character: Espresso‑Terrestrial

I featured the adorable alien from the Espresso‑Terrestrial stamp set by Trinity Stamps. He’s cute, quirky, and clearly fueled by the same thing I am: coffee. I watercolored him (and his coffee‑powered spaceship!) using Tombow watercolor markers, which gave everything a soft, blended look that still pops against the background.

🛠 Interactive Feature

To bring the whole scene to life, I used the Emergency Card Die Set #3 from Trinity Stamps. It added the perfect interactive moment — a little surprise movement that makes the alien feel like he’s truly zipping through space on a caffeine mission.

📄 Paper Choices

  • Coffee Break by P13 — warm, cozy, and perfect for the Spice Cabinet color palette
  • Galaxy by The Rabbit Hole Designs — deep, rich space vibes that make the alien shine

The combination created a fun contrast between earthy tones and cosmic energy.

✨ Finishing Touches

Confetti was the random parameter this week, and honestly, it was the perfect excuse to sprinkle in some coffee beans. Even aliens deserve a Caffine.

☕🌌 Final Thoughts

This card was fueled by coffee beans and pure out‑of‑this‑world inspiration. Craft Roulette continues to push me creatively, and this week’s project reminded me how fun it is to mix themes, colors, and interactive elements into something unexpected.

If you want to see the card in action, check out my YouTube, TikTok and Instagram — and stay tuned for more crafty adventures.
